The Prefects at Glen Urquhart High school are student leaders and role models. They are ambassadors for the school and meet high standards in dress, attendance and punctuality. Their work, over these past years, has been invaluable in supporting the ongoing progress of the school by working with pupils, staff and our community.  

Duties are ongoing and variable but include helping at parents' evenings, concerts, shows, fundraising, assemblies and transition events.  A significant aspect of their work is supporting younger pupils with their learning. Prefects take an active role in encouraging participation in extra-curricular activities provided by staff or themselves. Often they work closely with individual pupils to help them engage more with school life.

The prefect programme helps our young people develop additional leadership skills.
